SCOPE

Icon were tasked with using material donated to the charity to produce a 60m x 40m banner to cover one face of St. Thomas' Hospital, London.

The job was made extremely difficult as the material involved couldn't be printed on or sign written, this was overcome by using giant adhesive cut-out letters. The assembly problems involved with such a huge building wrap were summounted by using the sail-makers' loft at Chatham Historical Dockyard.

Installation was completed by using assailers to unfurl the giant banners. The item gained extensive press and television coverage at the time and helped publicise the re-naming of the 'The Spastic Society' to SCOPE.
